We Are All Superheros

For those of you who have not finished your Super Hero Sheet, please bring it with you next week to show it off. Haven't heard about it yet?

A couple weeks back I watched a portion of a Super Hero show on TV and realized we all might need to embrace our own gifts and strengths as well. Often when dealing with healing and the Holy Spirit, it's important to own your power and shine brilliantly in the world. Once we accept and embrace God's Spirit in our own lives, we can allow it to flow to others.

For those who did not receive a sheet to draw on, just download one of the attached files. Alter them in any way you like. They are not copywrited. There is one for girls and one for boys. It is my dads lesson to me that to write something important down solidifies it and makes it real...so be prepared you all! If you don't know where to start, don't feel bad. It helps to have someone ask the questions while you let your brain roam free. FYI: Each person so far has needed help :).

One tip for finding your greatest purpose is to look first at your greatest weakness. It is often the same and is found by asking yourself, "What one thing in my life have I rolled over in my mind, turmoiled over and dealt with again and again? I may or may not continue to deal with it, but it is certainly a large part of my past." Because so much energy has gone into these kinds of efforts, they often transform over the years from turbulence to pearls.

Healing Hands Mission

As the message of Jesus is being delivered to every nation, many more continue to search for their personal mission in life. Many struggle in our fast paced world, afraid to move out of their positions of safety and neglect to recognize their true power. When people do not express their true nature, they grow depressed, anxious and confused. Then comes the question, "How can we give to others when we have nothing to give?" The Kingdom of God is a very real place, full of unlimited possibilities. When we tap into this power, we bring it closer to us. When we acknowledge this, there is more we can do to move ourselves forward in life and interceed on the behalf of others. "What would the world look like if everyone knew they had the ability to heal?"

About Laying On Of Hands

About the Healing Hands Therapy

Energy healing therapies have gained reputation with scientific studies showing consistant and positive results. Chinese meridian therapies, the science of reflexology and a variety of Japanese systems alike have been revived from their eight thousand year sleep. Therapies involving subtle energy fields are based on the concept that humans are infused with an subtle form of energy.

This energy can be measured by its weight and has the ability to hold memory, including trauma, within itself. This energy is comprised of personal "weather" patterns and makes up our own electromagnetic fields. Therapists manipulate this energy to flow in positive currents, thus influencing positive emotional and physical growth and health.

Does this sound like the energy Jesus used in his ministry? Where does this healing source come from and is this the same energy tapped by the ancients? As the ancients were connecting to source, Jesus' cried out to the people for more humility and brotherly love. He also claimed to have used the power of God's Spirit. We would like to emanate both. Now that our understanding of removing blocks through the electric field is becoming more mainstream, we would like to recognize this ability to receiving healing power as a gift from God.

By creating an open source program that gives credence to the tools Jesus left behind, we have the ability to intercede on others behalf both through personal and long distance healings. As we call to the Holy Spirit in Earth's greatest time of need, we create the space for amazing transforms.

"When Jesus called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure disease, and sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick." Luke 9:1

The Importance of Boundaries

We had a participant in Healing Hands that arrived on her first day without her boundaries. Did she leave them at home on that particular night? No, this was a woman who may never have known the power of boundaries at all. With a simple suggestion and some light imagery, her life changed!

This was a wake up call to all of us in the group and one of our members in particular had a great outlook from her years in Al Anon. Here is her lesson on boundaries.

Living with Boundaries:

  • Know yourself deeply.
  • Know where you stop and some else begins.
  • Ask the questions, "What belongs to me? What are my responsibilities in a situation, in a relationship?"
This gets muddy when dealing with children but you can still do it.
With teenagers, you have to do it for them to survive. You have to give guidelines.
With adults, we should have clear boundaries at all times.
Comes with an understanding that we cannot do something to someone or between certain people. None of that is going to have anything to do with what another person does.
  • For example, in a movie I saw where the woman said, “Do you want to help me with the dishes?" The man responds, “Why would I want to do that?”
We spend a lot of energy wishing these things and neglect to speak the truth about what we want.
  • I love you but that doesn’t mean I’m going to do what you want me to do all the time or just because you want me to.
  • Basically each person can meet their own needs.
  • Know that the creator loves them more than you ever can.
  • Al-Anon says: “I get in his way because I try to make things right for him. I’ll become responsible for him and God love him more than I ever will.
  • Guilt is something that should be between us and God not us and another person.
If someone else creates gilt for us, that’s different. Also, we don’t have to accept guilt.
  • Guilt can destroy our boundaries because it puts us in a dependent relationship with another person because its manipulative and we’re allowing it to happen.
For children, for example, indecision is confusing. So we want to get straight to the point. Be kind and loving.
  • When facing verbal abuse – realize you don’t have a perspective on this, so you're not going to react to this person unless someone else is with you.
  • Ask what am I feeling guilty about and why am I feeling it?
    Knowing Yourself Deeply.
  • I’ve Looked back at my life and relationships and figured out what responsibility I had, in the sick part of myself, in relationships. Al-Anon calls it “Making Amends”
Do it with another person, a disinterested third party or a good friend who will call you on your stuff.
  • See patterns of how you behaved also patterns of how people treat you. Take all that information and sit with it for a while. Then, do something about it.
Talk to those people directly and say “this is what I did. I don’t want to do it anymore and this is what I intend to do from now on.
Example of an interaction with my brother – psychologist “wow, you Al-Anons really get right down to the heart of it.”
  • The reason you make amends is for you and not the other person.
  • Go when you’re not vulnerable.
  • Even if they haven’t heard you, that’s ok because its for you to realize who you are.
  • Also, it stops you from going through additional situations like that one.
  • Or just begin doing things differently. With my kids – I just stopped doing old habits – started doing new things.
  • I stopped listening to critical thins and simple stated “that’s not true.” Need you to know that I’m feeling a little insecure in our relationship. I’m not feeling that you’re doing anything wrong but I just feel a little…" See how I put that all in the first person? I didn’t try to elicit anything from him.
Assignment – Decide what you want to work on or pick one item of contention from this list and just do one small thing.

Quabbalic Numbers

The Kabbala or Quabala is another example of the intelligent mind of God. Early esoteric Jews saw God as Enoch (only the 7th from Adam) did in his vision of the levels of Heaven and hell. Being he walked with God, I have always been intrigued with what he had to say. Jacob also saw that Heaven had levels much like a ladder that angels ascended and descended with continuous motion. They knew a God who was one but was of many parts, all comprised of love.

Dorren Virtue wrote a book on Healing With the Angels. She says that when triple number digits are used, it is a sign that something divine is going to or is happening. Here is a quick list of those angel numbers:

• 111 or 1111: Energy flow of water, money, sex, kundalini, magneticIt happens when one of these energies manifests.

• 222 or 2222: In the middle of the process of resurrection or the process of ascension

• 333 or 3333: A decision number. Either one of the following can happen: 666 = material world or 999 = spiritual world.

• 444 or 4444: The Resurrection number.

• 555 or 5555: Christ consciousness

• 666 or 6666: Material world, chosen reality.

• 777: Symbolizes an integration of some portion of the four lower bodies with higher spiritualfrequencies within the third-dimensional plane, or at level in which you are manifesting yourphysical reality on the Earth plan

• 888: Symbolizes infinity * The unified spiral of the physical merging with the Spiritual * Moving toward the completion of the ascension process through the energies of the 222 and 444

• 999: Symbolizes the three levels of the triune * completion

• 000: Great Void * Experiencing a null zone * switching or moving into a new energy field 11:11Beginning of a whole new level or phase of development * Another dimension or frequency ofexperience * A PORTAL WAY OPENING

12:12: A COSMIC CONNECTION * A bridge to the future * Signifies a level of completion or graduation Pay attention to clocks, license plates, perhaps what you were doing at the time you sea that particular number.......what were you thinking, etc. I have found these to be very much a signal or sign after I have asked a question, etc.

Numbers Have Meanings

If knowledge gives us power, then why don't we invest in our knowledge base? Its simple. Most people are afraid of what they don't know. Martin Luther King Jr. said we are often afraid, not of our weakness, but of our power. It's not bad to have knowledge. Evil comes when we misuse that knowledge. Take some time out of your day to learn some knowledge about yourself. This quick list of the meaning of numbers will help you to see how all things are categorized, yourself included. Try adding up all the numbers in your birthday to find your personal life purpose. Does it match up with the life you've had so far?

1 - Denotes the beginning of a sequence and can be applied to all beginnings. One represents a pioneer, a natural leader, self-sufficient and often ambitious. As the "one" can be impulsive, his concern should be to avoid extremes and concentrate on being true to himself. Never be afraid to try out new ideas.

2 - Joining forces often helps a new venture and two is the number that represents a union. Usually peaceful at this point, the goal in any venture is to find the right partner, the ideal partner who will bring with him harmony and unity - a partner, financial consultant, counselor or coach. Speak up about what you need to continue on and don't feel lonely because "three" energy is on its way.

3 - With any good idea comes the desire to share it. Three energy will bring you outgoing, life fulfilling enthusiasm. hard to sit still, this stage brings new energy and ideas along with new people. Connections are made, the venture widens and things grow.

4 - This is the time to put nose to grindstone and get the practical work done. You won't even have to thin about it in a 4 phase, foundations will naturally be built out of a need for security and routine. In a business venture, it is time to hire administrators and cpa if you haven't already. Build a structure you can be happy with and be careful about rigidity because next to come is creative chaos.

5 - Time to risk and revamp! Five is pure energy that can often be translated into a period of chaos. Creative brainstorming is needed and you may even get a good book out of the process as something of creation will appear when all is said and done. This energy can be relentless but it is time to look at new opportunities and make the best choices. Take advantage of public appearances, enjoy life but remember your vision.

6 - Things settle down with nurturing and domesticated six energy. With all the wild creative energy, it may be time to merge. Harmony, balance and beauty are comfortable and helpful. Caress your idea, open up to those around you being careful not to get stepped on in the process.

7 - High standards or come up higher? Questions abound about how to make things better. It is time to look deeply and spiritually. Ideas may be slow and more unique than the wild brainstorming sessions you had long ago. Observe, allow and discover in this analytical time. Things may be slow. Don't be aloof but do be observant.

8 - Many think they've arrived as this is the phase of material satisfaction. You have what it takes at this point and what you've worked so hard for will finally pay off. Do enjoy this phase but don't get caught up in the rewards as this too is only a phase. And remember, its harder for a camel to go through the eye of a needle...

9 - Nine brings in the energy of completion. The humanitarian is now looking outward to pass on what he knows, to complete the process or to franchise and begin again.

Take a look at your own life by dividing it into periods of time. What years have you had a "fresh start." Every 7 years, you may find have been times of solitude and possilby spiritual times as well. Every 9 years marks, as we've shown here, the end of major projects and purposes.

Feng Shui Secret - Cleanliness is next to Godliness

Energy is unable to discern whether it needs to do this or that. Whether a person, house or car, energy can become stagnant depending on its climate.

In one week, I had a leaky bathroom faucet, the hose was left on outside and my garbage disposal broke in the kitchen sink and leaked through to the floor. I had to stop and think about how my life was going. Maybe my boundaries needed a little tightening?

If there is clutter in a closet there will also be clutter in the mind. Notice how a toddler doesn't know you can see him if you are covered with a blanket. We tend to believe the same thing when our clutter is behind closed doors.

But don't put cleaning off. With organized closets, desks and shelves we have peace of mind that there is a place in our lives that is under control. Once the foundation is organized, light cleaning becomes much easier to manage.

5 Tips For Keeping Your House (and Your Life) In Order

1. Organize: Create pockets in your house for different categories. Bathroom items like towels and makeup do not belong in the bedroom and clothes, for instance, do not belong in the bathroom. Too many times we pick something up only to put it down somewhere else. The reason, we didn't know where to put it. With organization in place, picking something up, you will already have the item's proper place in your mind.

2. We think upon those things that are in front of us: Do you go to sleep looking at a hamper full of dirty clothes? Do you wake to a wall of high school memorabilia? Walking in and out of your home is like walking in and out of life. Because the front door is a transition place between both worlds, it's important to keep it clear and positive. Likewise, because closets, trunks and basements are indicative of the recesses of our minds, we definately want to spend more time on them rather than less.

3. Giving allows room to receive: If you haven't worn it in the past 3 months, put it away. If you haven't retreived it from storage in a year, throw it away. If you must store things, retain a specific place in the home for storage. Make a decision as to how much you will add to the room. When it supercedes this space, it's time to take something out.

4. Once you've cleaned up the visual stuff in your home, consider the sensory messes, the non-visual. First, connect energetically to your home. Are there unwanted smells, sounds or memories in your home? Are there places in your house where you feel stuck? Sometimes even after you've cleaned up, a space will continue to collect negative energy or be a dropping ground for unneeded stuff. If this is the case, stop and spend a moment with this space. Allow yourself to "feel" the reasons why this place feels stuck and then follow through on the messages you have received. If there doesn't seem to be anything you can do physically, try to imagine the energy move elsewhere - like outside and deep into the ground. If the energy feels geophysical, then it may help to use elements like water for carrying energy into a different direction, wood for bringing energy "up," or rocks for abosorption. Think about energy in terms of an element itself, like in a pile of dirt. It can also be cleaned up.

5. Consult a professional or look online for tools to "correct" a space. Feng Shui has some excellent fixes as well as life lessons. Whether clutter, ley lines, atmospheric changes or spiritual energy, it can all be remedied. And with the right consultant, you may even learn how to take care of future fixes yourself.

NVC Conference, Eugene, OR

In Eugene Oregone this weekend, we witnessed Marshall Rosenberg, in person, speak about his revolutionary communication techniques that have now been spread around the world through individuals focused on peace and resolution. Take a look at Marshall and his beliefs:

As Marshall spoke at various lectures, his words sunk into my soul as if I could really see how his thought process could change the world.

On talking about Needs, Requests and Demands...
when you hear a “no” then what they probably heard was a demand. If there is a following punishment, then it was said as a demand. If we speak a demand we threaten a personal need.
We all have basic needs in life, such as sustenance, autonomy, air, food, empathy & love.

Needs are the most difficult for me to nail down. Here is the list at cnvc.org to get you started.

Steps to Prayer

Going into adolescence, I had begun to contemplate prayer. I didn’t get it and didn’t even like it. When I listened to others pray, all I heard was a cynical blah, blah, blah. I wanted to know how to “really” pray. When Jesus prayed, mountains moved for him, fish and bread multiplied, people were healed and lives were saved. I wanted that! So I prayed and prayed, modifying my prayers to be more detailed, more exact. And one day, as a young wife and mother, I had been given the keys to prayer.

I had been driving down a dirt road in Montana, when a fearful realization came to me that my husband and I were going more broke by the minute and we needed to get out of debt in order to survive. This great need was forming in my mind. I was becoming more passionate about it, knowing the only way out of my situation was to pay off our debt. It was that knowing that provoked me to scream: “I need twenty thousand dollars!” This was out of character, but I realized that through the power of my asking I had become a part of something bigger.

Within two days, we found that a rental house we had owned had burned to the ground and the insurance on it was a simple twenty thousand dollars. Now I began to realize this was more than prayer; it was manifestation. And the keys were specific: having a connection with my personal guides, knowing what I wanted, asking with confidence, being positive and knowing that I would be responsible for the outcome.

Things since have not always come to me so quickly. I believe some requests need time to cure, to become real in their own time. But the universe always provides! This was a big revelation and I began to have a more consistent rapport with the unseen world. I knew it was there and would always provide as I asked specifically to be cared for.

5 Steps to Prayer
1. Allow yourself to realize a problem or desire. For instance, maybe you would like to own your own home.

2. Next, take some time to realize your desire in its entirety (in its truth). As you consider owning a home, try skinning down your image to a need. For example: Wanting to own a home might allow you a nest egg in your retirement. Though, if you push things along with your own intention and without considering your deeper need, you may be purchasing with the wrong timing. After all, there are many who purchased a home in 2006 who have wished they hadn't. Ask yourself, "What is my deepest need in owning a home?" Is it a need for security and safety? When you pray, you would then ask for security and safety, not a home to own.

3. There is a difference between needs we are willing to have filled and needs we don't - there are those that will take us to a place we don't really want to go. For example: We all have a need for pleasure, but at what cost? Are you willing to live in an extravagant home by the water with a mate we don't feel safe with? Are you willing to own, on your own, a mansion that is way over your budget? Are you willing to own a home at the expense of someone else's misfortune? Maybe you are and maybe you aren't.

4. The most important step in prayer is knowing what you want to happen in your life. These are all questions that will move you toward truly knowing what you want and will feed your now emotional request.

5. When we lead ourselves to a place where we have deeply felt our need in its basic truth, we are ready to ask. Audibly or silently, by yourself or with another, just ask.
